Working with AI tools
You can use the Zendesk API reference with AI tools. Every developer documentation page includes a menu with options for copying or opening the page in a format that works well with AI assistants.
Select the menu to choose one of the following options:
- Copy page copies the page content so you can paste it into an AI assistant or another tool.
- Open Markdown page opens the page as raw Markdown, which is useful for reading, saving, or providing structured context to an AI tool.
- Use in Claude opens the page in Claude.
- Use in ChatGPT opens the page in ChatGPT.
The documentation site also provides Markdown files for every page. You can access a page’s Markdown representation through its .md url or by requesting text/markdown with the Accept header.
The site includes an llms.txt file to help AI tools discover and use Zendesk developer documentation. Ask your agent to use https://developer.zendesk.com/llms.txt as a search index for Zendesk developer docs.
Use these options to ask questions about an endpoint, compare resources, or create a starting point for your integration. Always review AI-generated responses against the API reference, especially before using generated code in production.
